The FDA warns that buying medications outside the U.S. may be unsafe or ineffective and has issued the following warnings to consumers: There are quality assurance concerns with regard to where the drug was manufactured. There is the potential for counterfeit drugs. Some drugs could potentially have additional untested substances in them. Drugs should be taken with adequate medical supervision. The labeling should all be in English. Information about side effects and/or adverse effects should accompany the medication. The web site should be a legally operating business. Getting a prescription drug by filling out a questionnaire without seeing a doctor poses a serious health risk.
